Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine: The Political Forces are not interested in Adoption of the Budget for 2010 before the Presidential Elections
Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expressed doubts regarding the political powers being interested in the adoption of the state budget for the year 2010 until the Presidents election is being held. He announced it during the press-conference in Uman town on 18th of September 2009.
According to him, certain political powers do not need the Budget adoption "as they deem they would follow their own budget".
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine announced journalists that on Friday he had signed the schedule of the Budget scrutiny according to the Budget Code of Ukraine. He has also emphasized that in case the norms of the law are abided the budget should be represented in the Parliament during the next week.
V. Lytvyn declared that id the Verkhovna Rada did not vote for the decision or did not touched the issue ton the further budget elaboration of the Parliament, it would mean that the Verkhovna Rada takes it for the elaboration.
He emphasized that the Parliament should possess the precise position regarding the main principles of the Budget.
V. Lytvyn declared "I am convinced that we have now exactly the moment when we must scrutinize the Bill for the country, not for the political season".
